Kenneth Seiferth III, founder of Ascend Consulting Group (ASG) is a proud third-generation elevator professional, with more than 25 years in elevator consulting, service, manufacturing and management. Some of Ken’s earliest memories are of ‘assisting’ his father in fixing elevators. His passion and respect for elevators, his fellow peers and this unique industry has grown over the years and manifests today in ACG.

Ken is known for his extensive knowledge and experience in the elevator field. His expertise spans all aspects of elevator optimization and investment, including modernization, evaluation, code compliance, witnessing, maintenance audits, new installation, planning, design build and expediting services. Ken’s focus for Ascend Consulting Group is to bring the best elevator technical expertise, experience, networks and counsel to property developers, REITs, building owners, managers, co-op/condominium boards, engineers, and architects.

Prior to founding Ascend, Ken spent 10 years as a senior consultant at a NY-based consulting firm, overseeing growth and management of a broad portfolio of consulting services and team. Earlier in his career, Ken spent 15 years in management, operations and service in leading NYC-based elevator service and manufacturing companies, with responsibilities spanning project scoping and oversight, and field team management, for elevator service and maintenance; installation/ modernization projects; product development and quality control.

When not surveying elevator sites, meeting with property managers, owners, architects, building boards and others, Ken enjoys spending time with family and friends indulging in good food and drink, catching a NYC event, traveling, or just socializing on his stoop in Brooklyn, where he resides with his wife and two children.

Ken holds a BS in business administration from Marist College and is credentialed by the NYC Department of Buildings as an Elevator Agency Director and Certified as a NAESA International QEI Elevator Safety Inspector.
